Lily's Movie | Melissa's Story | ||

There are so many people to thank that I don't even know where to begin. And words are plainly not enough to express the depth of my gratitude.
My wonderful family, as I've mentioned to anyone who will listen, inspires and balances me and they remind me to live each day to the fullest. Seth, Lily & Owen; Mom & Dad; Chris & Lauren; Nick, Angie, Joey & Gus; Jim & Nancy; Sam & Kym; Rachel - I love you all with every ounce of my being. Thank you for being a part of my life and letting me be a part of yours. Then there's all of our neighbors - people we'd really only just met when this all began - and friends who helped us through the first several months after diagnosis with dinners, babysitting, shoulders to cry on, and so much more. Thanks to all of you as well. Eileen, thanks for taking Lily to school every day. And thank you to everyone else that helps with getting her home. Thanks to everyone who helps me to get around the fact that I can no longer drive. Thank you to the fantastic people who decided to start the Melissa Ritter-Thompson Wellness Fund. You guys are incredible! Thanks to the Cancer Wellness Center and the TREMENDOUS group of gals there that I have the great honor of spending an hour and a half with every Thursday night. Thanks to Kellogg Cancer Center for working so hard to keep me around. Annette and Dr. Vick, you are the greatest and I feel lucky to have found you. To everyone praying, sending healing thoughts, general good vibes and the like, a great big thank you. And thanks to everyone supporting the Wellness Fund. Thanks to all of you who have taken the time to read this far. Clearly, I could go on like this forever... And finally, a special thank you to the following people and businesses that donated time, goods and services, etc., to make the Benefit possible. |
